Assault Boardriding Centre is now Maritime NZ certified to instruct Foiling on our dedicated Foil School Boards & Foils equipped with Foil Drive Assist.

Whether you want to learn to Wing Foil, Kite Foil, Surf Foil, SUP Foil, Down Wing Foil or Tow Foil we can instruct you how to master the basics of Foiling on our specialist Foil Drive School equipment. It is easy, fun and very safe.

So; how does all this work and why is it so easy? We draw on our many seasons of experience in foiling to make this happen. The equipment is specialist and dedicated to learning to Foil. We use the latest design high volume (floaty) boards that are long, stable and efficient through the water. No barges used here!

We fit these boards with the latest entry level Foil designs with Foil sizes to suit rider size and body weight. No more guess work on what size Foil to use. We use short mast lengths to eliminate most of the crashes. No more getting beaten up with multiple crashes. Then we add the key component. The Foil Drive; an electric powered marine motor and drive unit.

We eliminate all the things that make learning to Foil a challenge. No wind or choppy rough water conditions, no waves or swell, no boat or jetski dragging you up and pulling your arms out of their sockets. Just you, and us, each on a Foil Drive Foil Board with the controller in hand. Nice calm conditions, instructor alongside you, and our step-by-step instruction program. The control is all at your fingertips.

Once you have learnt the basics of Foiling you can then move on to learn to Foil using the natural power of the wind, or waves & swell, or towed by a boat or jetski, or continue with the Foil Drive journey. The options and opportunities are extensive.
