The AIR Team is the first model in the FreeWing range to incorporate our next-generation Ultra-X canopy material — developed in conjunction with Challenge Sailcloth and exclusive to FreeWing. This latest technological breakthrough brings new levels of durability and low-stretch characteristics at no additional weight. INNOVATIVE SEAM CONSTRUCTION

We developed a new seam construction that can tolerate higher PSI in the leading edge and strut. Attaining a high-pressure airframe improves the stiffness, responsiveness and overall performance of the wing.

CENTER STRUT CONNECTION NEW

The tapered strut features a wide and strong connection at the base, creating a stiffer overall airframe. Pumping becomes more efficient, improving acceleration and high-end power/ speed.

MEDIUM CANOPY TENSION

Provides consistent power delivery and excellent flagged-out stability. Also, more stability and lift from the canopy in maneuvers, making tacking and gibing a dream.

OPTIMISED GEOMETRY

Medium-aspect wing ratio together with a short strut for compact power balance makes the wing more maneuverable, performing better through tacks & gybes, and when flagged out.

DRAG REDUCTION WINGTIPS

Thin optimized wingtips reduce drag, enhancing stability for a smoother glide when the wing is flagged out.

COMFORT STRUT SHAPE

The back handle does not need to be as pulled in and allows for a more extended arm position, increasing overall comfort and balance.

OPTIMISED DIHEDRAL

The leading edge features a slight dihedral to maintain significant power whilst gaining better stability when the wing is flagged out.

LARGE BAG WITH PUMP HOLDER

Premium wing bag with a pump strap mount system and a wide opening for easy packing & unpacking of the wing. Features pockets for handles and accessories. Keep water bottle close or quickly stash items in the side pocket. Designed with mesh ventilation.

SIZE-SPECIFIC LEASHES

Each leash complements the strut‘s length when stretched out to prevent entanglement during wipeouts, & recoils back to have a leash that is as short as possible when riding.

LIGHT WIND – THREE STRUT DESIGN NEW

Available on 5.5m and 6m
The three strut configuration stabilizes the additional area in the wingtips and allows adding more surface into a given wingspan to create a lower aspect wing. Additionally, the wingtip struts stabilize the canopy for increased top-end speed.
